Connie Lee (Jenkins) Lee of East Canton, Pa., left her physical world, peacefully, at home surrounded by many family members Monday, April 14, 2014, after a long hard battle with cancer. Born on March 15, 1948, at Towanda Memorial Hospital to Chuck and Mary (Phillips) Jenkins, Connie was a graduate of Towanda Area High School. She enjoyed life spending her time reading books, playing computer games, dancing and listening to music. She spent many years working with the handicapped and doing cake decorating with her Aunt Carol Kipp. Connie's greatest love of all was spending as much time as possible with her family. She was a mother to many, as she claimed them, "self-adopted children." Connie was a very caring woman who touched many people's lives and made lasting impressions in everyone's hearts she met. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Chuck and Mary Jenkins and by her husband, Larry Lee. Connie is survived by her brother, Larry (Barbra) Jenkins of Elmira, N.Y.; sons, Kevin (Karl) Fitzwater of Gillett, Pa., Keith (Ashley McCarney) Fitzwater, Canton, Pa., Kelly "Baby Boy" (Brandi Bellows) Fitzwater, East Troy, Pa; one daughter, Angelia "Ange" (Nick Murphy) Hicks, Canton, Pa.; and her adopted son, Jason (LaToya) Murray; nieces and nephews, Tanya (Kris) Chilson of Towanda, Pa., Danielle and Matthew Jenkins of Elmira, N.Y.; many special grandchildren, Abeni, Desiree, Mayson, Jaid, Selena, Dalton, Tarah, Amber, Danny, Mariah, Harley, Breanna, Ashley, Aaron, Elizabeth, Cherish, Mary, Austin, Abbigayl, Nevaeh and Sadie; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Madalynn, Caleb, Brooke, Peter Jr., Johnathon, Zoe, Ellie, Latreya, Tyler; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Connie's family would like to give a special thank you to Dave Terrel. A memorial service for Connie will be held at the First Baptist Church of Troy and will be announced at a later date. Contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society in Larry and Connie Lee's memory would be greatly appreciated.
