Dianna M. Lamphere Reeves, 80, of Towanda, Pa. passed away early Monday morning, June 2, 2014, at home following declining health.
Dianna was born in Sayre, Pa. on Sept. 6, 1933, the daughter of Edward John Lamphere and Mildred Anderson Lamphere. In early years Dianna was employed by the Greyhound Bus Stop in Wysox. She was later employed by Herman Rynveld Sons in New Albany, Pa. for 16 years and by the Housekeeping Department of the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for 16 years. Dianna also worked as a cook in numerous restaurants in Bradford County, served as Registrar of Vital Statistics for the Towanda area and was a staff member of the Towanda Laundromat for a number of years. She enjoyed making home baked goods which she offered at the Farmer's Market in Towanda for over 15 years, and fishing with family members.
Surviving are her children, Steve E. Reeves of Liberty Corners, Dee A. Reeves and Glenn Lewis with whom she resided in Liberty Corners, Debbie J. Reeves of Towanda, Sandy Jo Reeves Vanderpool and husband Richard of Towanda, Roni Su Reeves Kissell and husband Scott of Georgia; a special daughter, Desiree Savercool Smith; grandchildren, Brandon Reeves, Kristopher Reeves, Derrick Vanderpool, Kylene Reeves, Barclay Vanderpool, Stormey Kissell, Larry Kissell, Jacob Kissell, SeAnna Reeves-Bump; great-grandchildren, Kristopher J. Reeves, Olivia Reeves, Delilah Reeves, Gage Reeves. Shiloh Reeves; sister, Edna Sluyter of Canton; brothers, Francis Lamphere and wife Judy of Alba, Charles Lamphere and wife Sharon of Laceyville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Reeves; grandson, Scott G. Kissell II; sisters, Lillian Hillyard, Bertha Patton; brothers, George, Benjamin and Jon Lamphere.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa. Interment will be in the Wysox Cemetery, Wysox, Pa. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
