Kathy Warner Lattimer, 59, of Manchester, N.J. formerly of Sheshequin, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, N.J.
Kathy was born Sept. 30, 1953 in Sayre, the daughter of Gail L. Warner and Lillian "Billy" Button Warner.
She was a graduate of Athens Area High School class of 1971.
Kathy was employed by Joe's Marine in Sayre for 20 years and by Jim's RV in Nichols, N.Y. for two years.
Kathy's life revolved around her home and her family. She was a consummate homemaker and outstanding cook and deeply devoted herself to her husband and to her son. She was instrumental in the lives of her nieces and nephews and later, when all of the children had grown, she became a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bradford County, nurturing and mentoring yet more children, those of whom were facing adversity in their young lives. Following the death of her husband and high school sweetheart, Kathy made the decision to leave her beloved "Warner Hill" and knew that her place was now with her new granddaughter, Kaylise. She moved to New Jersey to be close to her son and granddaughter. Kaylise became the center of Kathy's world and in her; she found great love and joy.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Shawn T. and Laray Lattimer of Mt. Royal, N.J.; granddaughter Kaylise Lattimer; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Yvette Warner of Park City, Utah; sister-in-law, Victoria "Vicky" Warner of Sheshequin; nieces, Laura Warner of Sheshequin and Stephanie Lynn Warner of Jakarta, Indonesia; nephews, Terry R. Warner II. and wife Robin of Sheshequin and R. Todd Warner and wife Mindy of Wimberley, Texas; several great nieces and great nephews; and her friend, Thomas Hoplock of New Jersey
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Warren J. Lattimer on Feb. 24, 2007, father, Gail L. Warner in 1985, mother, Lillian "Billy" Warner Stalford in 2001, step father, Scott Stalford in 2002, brothers, Terry Royce Warner in 1997 and Richard G. "Rick" Warner in 2012.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, with Rev. Sandy Brant officiating. Interment will follow in the Sheshequin Valley Cemetery, Sheshequin Twp. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
