Marian H. Anspach

Marian H. Anspach, 89, formerly of Litchfield passed away on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Highlands Care Center, Laporte following an extended illness.

She was born in Litchfield Twp. on April 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Norman and Lula Strope Hunsinger.

Marian graduated from Athens High School and worked at Thatchers Bottle Works, Elmira, N.Y., retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of Bumpville Bible Church. She enjoyed shopping and loved lemon meringue pie.

She is predeceased by her first husband Bill Hart, second husband Fritz Anspach, sister Geraldine Babcock, and brothers Earl Hunsinger, Kenneth Hunsinger, and Glenn Hunsinger Sr., and nephew Blaire Hunsinger.

Marian is survived by her nieces and nephews Duane and Stacey Hunsinger, Glenn and Cheryl Hunsinger, Marlene Jewett, Hilda and Dennis Taylor, Millie Coleman, Linda Fetteridge, David Babcock, David and Kathi Hunsinger, LaVerne and Jimmie Hunsinger, and Joan Babcock; and several cousins.

Friends and family may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 225 South Main St., Athens. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. the funeral home at with the Rev. Kenneth Crain officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens.
