Martin P. Renzo, Jr., age 78, of Burlington, Pa., passed away at home on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, after an extended illness.
Martin was born May 27, 1935 in Canton, Pa., the son of the late Martin P. and Molly (Barnett) Renzo, Sr. He and Jerri (Kilgore) were married Feb. 23, 1963 and were just days shy of celebrating their 51st anniversary.
Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at the Burlington United Methodist Church, Berwick Turnpike, Burlington, Pa. Martin's memorial service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 p.m.
Following graduation from Estella High School, Martin logged with the family business in Forksville, Pa. He served his country with the US Navy
from 1954 to 1958. He was a longtime employee of F.P. Case & Sons in Troy, Pa. before forming Renzo Construction with his nephew, Joe Renzo. He was well known as a perfectionist when it came to his carpentry work. He continued to do carpentry for his family and in the community after he retired. His memory will live on in the many buildings and projects big and small that he completed throughout his lifetime. Martin loved spending time with his family, playing cards, hunting, bowling and gardening. He attended the Burlington United Methodist Church.
Surviving Martin, are his loving wife Jerri Renzo of Burlington; son Michael Renzo of Jersey City, N.J.; daughter and son-in-law Lauri and Andrew Bulkley of Friendsville, Pa.; three grandchildren, Isaac, Jessica and Seth Bulkley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann (Norman) Wilcox and Betty (Paul) Adsett; brother and sister-in-law, James (Marjorie) Renzo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Martin was predeceased by his parents; brothers, John and Frank Renzo; sister Rose Daley; infant grandson Luke Michael; nephews John Renzo and James Daley; and niece Sherry Renzo.
