Nancy Cook Irvine, 75, formerly of Wysox Twp., Pa. passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, 2014, at the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington Twp., Pa.
Nancy was born Aug. 29, 1938 in Towanda, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Cidney McCabe Cook. She was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1956 and in early years was employed by Pipher's Diner in Wysox.
On June 1, 1957 she married Ronald Guy Irvine at the Wysox Presbyterian Church.
Nancy was a member of the Wysox Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Wysox Prayer Circle. Nancy loved spending time with her family, baking, flower gardening and ceramics with her grandchildren. She will be remembered by many for her beautiful smile.
Surviving are her children, Gerald R. "Jerry" Irvine and wife Tina of Towanda, Ronald C. Irvine and wife Michelle of Towanda, James L. Irvine and wife Kristin of Middletown, Del., Deborah J. White and husband Raymond of Towanda, Cindy L. Sheets and husband Jass of North Towanda; grandchildren, Amanda and Davie Evans, Tony Irvine and wife Emily, Damien Irvine and wife Holly, Aaron and Andrea Irvine, Bronwyn Morris, Steven and Tim Irvine, Alicia Irvine Pariseau and husband Josh, Devin, Victoria, Stephanie and Olivia White, Chris Maynard and Becca Lamphere, Jim, Jeremy and Justin Sheets; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Evans, Jordan Radney, Brayden Irvine, Brennan Irvine, Gage Evans, Caiden Irvine, Mason Hartmann, Aubrey Pariseau, Kenley Maynard and Ryker Maynard; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Robert Lee Chilson of Liberty Corners; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Jennie Cook of Rome, Richard and Mary Cook of Towanda; sister-in-law, Marilyn Waluk of Wyalusing; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Marion Irvine of Towanda; brother-in-law, Donald Irvine of Towanda; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ronald Guy Irvine on Jan. 25, 2010; an infant brother, Jimmy Cook; sister-in-law, Odessa Irvine; and brother-in-law, Tom Waluk.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the Wysox Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jira Albers, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wysox Cemetery, Wysox, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, at the church.
