Thomas Paul "Tommy" Singer, 21, of Franklin Township, Pa., passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1991, in Carlisle, Pa., and was a graduate of Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, Augusta County, Va., in June of 2010. Tommy was employed by Union Local 712 of Wyoming with the natural gas pipeline industry. He loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, barbecuing, music and comedy. Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his parents, Janet Ayres Leber and husband Kenneth Leber of Franklin Township, Donald Paul Singer of New Bloomfield, Pa.; brothers, Wade Pipher and wife Kari and Lance Pipher of Franklin Township, John Nekrasz who is serving with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas; step brother, Keith Leber and wife Trish of Blain, Pa.; step sisters, Erica Leber Burnham and husband Nathan of Blain, Pa., Elizabeth Leber and husband Kevin of Palmyra, Pa.; maternal grandfather, Harold Ayres of Landisburg, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Shirley Singer of New Bloomfield, Pa.; special grandparents, Phyllis and Rocky Pipher of Burlington Township; several aunts, uncles, cousins; special friends, Billy Brenner and Val Kisner; and Tommy's devoted feline friend, Tigger.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with Rev. Donald Rockwell officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
