Tod E. Porter

On the afternoon of May 25, 2014, Tod Eugene Porter of Granville Township passed away quietly at Robert Packer Hospital from complications that were the result of a debilitating illness. He was 42 years of age.

Born in Blossburg, Pa., on Oct. 8, 1971, he was the son of Willis E. and Olive (Barrett) Porter. Tod was a lifelong Granville resident and graduated Troy High School with the class of 1990. Tod worked most of his life as a dairy farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all things associated with the outdoors. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed teaching his children how to safely operate farm equipment. He was a loving, devoted father who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Tod is survived by his wife, the former Georgianna McCaslin, at home; his mother, Olive Porter of Arkansas; sons, Dylan Buck of Canton and Brett Douglas Porter at home; daughters, Megan Marie Porter Kimbell (and husband Cyle) of Chemung, N.Y., Mickenzie Jo Porter, at home; and granddaughter, Miracle Rae Eddy-Porter. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Porter.

In accordance with Tod's expressed wishes there are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Professional services have been entrusted to Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, Canton.
