The Knecht and Castle families lost their beloved Tommy on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
The son of Michelle Knecht of Roaring Branch and Thomas R. Castle, Sr. of Rauchtown, Pa., Thomas Roger Castle Jr. "Tommy" was born in Williamsport on Oct. 21, 1987.
During his 26 years, family and friends were held very dear in his heart. He resided with his loving sister Shilynn, Jeff "Monk" Eaton and special nephew Gavin, who were not only his family, but also his best friends whom he was devoted to. Tommy fell in love with Desiree Stiver along with her son, Kaleb "Taddy." They were married on June 11, 2011. His favorite times were family get-togethers, listening to music and being outdoors especially when hunting, fishing and camping; his bonfires were famous. Teaching Kaleb that love and appreciation of nature was very important to Tommy. He would always take the time to give his special hugs and "I love yous." Tommy was employed by M & M Custom Wood Products in Morris Run. He knew and loved God and was a member of Canton's Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he had special friends, Jake and Audrey Randall. Tommy lived in a community where people knew he lived a troubled life, but they loved and respected him anyway. He appreciated that and leaves many special friends behind. Tommy was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back and be ready to jump into helping others, no matter the task. Tommy's death will leave a huge void but his memory, his caring ways and loving heart will remain.
In addition to his parents and sister, surviving are his paternal grandparents, Roger and Joyce Castle of Canton; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Kenny and Gladys Knecht; two aunts; and his best friend, Chris Swain.
