Zell Charles "Chip" Beeman

Zell (Chip) Charles Beeman peacefully passed on Nov. 4, 2013, while working on his farm.

He is the son of Boyd and Maxine Beeman. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Stephanie (Michael) Falls and Bethli Beeman; step-sons, Rogan and Morgan Moore; sisters, Linda (Jerry) Rowe and Betsy Beeman; grandson, Padraig Falls; nieces and nephews, Cindy (Steve) Watkins, Boyd (Elaine) Rowe, Janice (Jamie) Root; many great nieces and nephews and a wealth of friends.

Zell worked as an engineer at BorgWarner Global for 41 years. He began at Morse Chain as a draftsman and worked throughout the Ithaca plant. Zell lived abroad and traveled the world as an engineer with BorgWarner Global for the last several years. He has had many great friends throughout his career and traveled to many parts of the U.S. and abroad.

Zell was happiest at home while working on his farm and with his family and friends. He was always busy with farm chores and enjoyed sharing time hunting, fishing and boating with family and friends. Zell was always happy when a young hunter was able to get their first deer at the Beeman farm.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the Herson Wagner Funeral Home, Ithaca, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.
