Carol May Dildine Wright, 72, widow of Thelbert "Bill" Welcher Wright of Powell, Pa., passed away Thursday March 10, 2011 at her home following declining health. Carol was born March 31, 1938 in Sayre, Pa., the daughter of the late Theodore and M. Pauline Dildine.

She was a graduate of Athens High School class of 1956. On Jan. 10, 1959 she married Thelbert Wright at Trinity Episcopal Church in Athens. Carol was employed for many years as an instructional aide by the Towanda School District and was also employed by the Endless Mountains Transportation Authority. She was a member of the Powell United Methodist Church. Her main interest in life surrounded her home and family.
Surviving are: her daughter, Tammy J. Wright of Silver Springs, Md.; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael W. and Marsha Wright of Powell; grandchildren, Jordan Wright and Victoria Wright; her sister, Cora Orshal of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thelbert on July 19, 2003; brothers, David, Paul, Richard and Theodore Dildine. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in the Monroeton Cemetery, Monroeton, Pa.
The Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home of Towanda, Pa., is assisting Carol's family with arrangements.
