Carolyn Jo Lamphere, of Conklin, N.Y., passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City. She was 39 years old.

Carolyn Jo, "Sicia" to family and friends, was born on Aug. 3, 1973, in Troy, a daughter of Francis and Judy (Putnam) Lamphere. She was a 1993 graduate of Troy High School. Carolyn was the devoted mother of two young sons, Dustin Michael and Dakota John and a beloved daughter, sister and friend.
Though Carolyn's life involved medical difficulties, she never let that overcome her. She possessed an independent and gracious spirit and lived life to its fullest. Carolyn loved the beauty of nature and being outdoors, especially while camping, fishing and four-wheeling. She also enjoyed crafting and was a "Twilight" saga movie enthusiast.
In addition to her sons who were the loves of her life, Carolyn is survived by her parents, Francis and Judy of Canton; a brother and two sisters, Francis John (Kathy) Lamphere of Conklin, Janet (Raymond) House and Missy (George) Jennings all of Canton; her fiancé, Scott Steele of Conklin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her aunt, Mary Northrup and special friend, to be mother-in-law, Susan Steele.
Her family invites friends to call 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 with burial following in Oakhill Cemetery, Troy.
