Donald E. Kuhn, 73, of Troy, Pa. passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 7, 2014.

Born in Wayland, N.Y. on Oct. 30, 1940, Don was a son of the late Francis and Anna (Didas) Kuhn. He was a 1959 graduate of Aquinas Institute High School. On Sept. 16, 1961, Don married the former Bonnie Elphick in Rochester, N.Y. They were blessed with 52 years together and raised five children.

Don began his working career with E. I. DuPont Corp. in Rochester before transferring in 1985 to the Towanda plant. After retiring in 1992, he continued working as a truck driver for Taylor Meats in Wyalusing.

Don's favorite hobby involved his love for trains. His enjoyment came with spending meticulous hours in his basement creating miniature displays of working model trains, detailed scenery and railroad fixtures. His favorite display took 9 years to complete.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; children, Deborah Kuhn of Rochester, N.Y., Ronald (Kristin) Kuhn of Wells, Maine, Gregory Kuhn of Troy, Robert (Lisa) Kuhn of Weston, W.Va., Christine (Matt) Davis of Troy; seven grandchildren, Brittany and Desirae Kuhn, Andrew, Nicholas and William Kuhn, Morgen and Corey Davis; three siblings, Carol Grove of Spencerport, N.Y., Leo (Ruth Anne) Kuhn of Murray, N.Y. and Tom Kuhn of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a brother-in-law, Robert Hartman of Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Maher and Dorothy Hartman.
