Mrs. Hope Minyon, age 78, of Camptown, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at her home with her loving family at her side.

Hope was born in Queens, NY, on July 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Louis E. and Marguerite Zielke Milarta. She graduated from the Morristown High School a member of the class of 1952. She married Richard Minyon of Willoughby, OH, on July 12, 1968 and they recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Hope was a member of Camptown United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Church Women's Club. Hope was an organist at the church, having played many weddings and funerals over the years. She had a beautiful soprano voice, and she taught adult and children's choir, as well as piano. Hope loved spending time with her family, friends, and her special pets; Tuffy, Samanthan, Lucky, and Peanut.

Surviving are her spouse, Richard J., at home; daughter, Michelle Hope Minyon of North Towanda, Pa.; three brothers, William L. Milarta of Monroeton, Pa., Michael R. Milarta Wyalusing, Pa., Louis Milarta of Monroeton, Pa.; two sisters, Miss Susan C. Milarta of Midland Park, N.J.; Miss Christine Milarta of Monroeton, Pa.; sister-in-law, Dolores Munn of Dutton, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Daniel H. Milarta in 1969 and niece Sabrina Milarta in 2006.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the Camptown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. William Westbrook officiating. Interment will be in Camptown Cemetery, Camptown, Pa.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA 18853.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
