Myrtle W. Wilkinson, age 94, of 518 Powell St., Sayre, Pa., passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the Ashton Healthcare Facility, Athens, Pa.

Myrtle was born Oct. 12, 1918, a daughter of the late Della and Harry Wilcox. She was the wife of the late Sanford Wilkinson. She was employed by Westinghouse for 38 years until her retirement. Myrtle belonged to the Sayre Baptist Church. She was a life time member of the Rebekah Lodge, Wysox Pa. Myrtle had been an avid bowler, seamstress, and doll maker.

Myrtle is survived by daughters Gilberta (Albert) Corneby of Milan, Pa., Sylvia (Bruce) Fay of Sayre, Pa., Shirley Cron, of Dublin, Pa., and son Llewellyn (Pete) Wilkinson, Bentley Creek, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Sally Wilkinson.

A time of gathering with family and friends will be from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, N.Y. 14892. A celebration of Myrtle's life will follow the visitation with the Rev. James Donahoo honoring her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
