Paula A. Chaapel, 64, resident of Grover, Pa., entered into our Lord's Kingdom at home with her family by her side on the afternoon of Oct. 14, 2013, following a short battle with cancer.

Her mother, Eleanor May Morris; father, Raymond Allen Wooster; siblings, Letha Wooster and John Wheeler; nieces, Nellie Wooster, Sonja Wooster, Shari Wooster, Joan Northrup and Paulette Wooster; a great niece, Angela Garcia Wooster, all preceded her in death.

Paula is survived by her husband, Raymond Chaapel; son, Ray (Lynette) of Grover, Pa.; daughters, Kitrina (Chris) of Macungie, Pa., and Kelli of Grover, Pa.; four grandchildren, Sebastian, Brianna, Brittany and Lucas; siblings, Viola Bartholomew of Towanda, Pa., Marie Bailey of Towanda, Pa., Bill Wheeler of May's Landing, N.J., Richard Wooster of Nichalson, Pa., Donald Wooster Gulfport, Miss., Rob Wooster of Towanda, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Paula was born on the July 6, 1949 in Towanda, Pa. After attending high school, she married Raymond Chaapel from LeRoy, Pa., on Sept. 17, 1966. Paula worked at Canton Manufacturing, Darway Nursing Home and Martha Lloyd. Her hobbies consisted of Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, knitting and crocheting. She was the kind of person who was always willing to volunteer for anything. She was involved with Girl Scouts for 20 plus years and was always known for participating in PTA functions. "Nana" could always be seen sitting in her chair making all kinds of gifts for her grandchildren and children. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She was always just a phone call away, no matter the time of day.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council, 226 Colonial Dr., Horseheads, NY 14845.

Family invites friends to call from noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr., in Canton. Rev. Duane Taylor will officiate a memorial service at 1 p.m. Following the service, there will be a luncheon at the Canton Legion.
