Robert J. "Bob" Mosier, 81, of 125 Colonial Terrace, Towanda, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. "Bob," as he was known by his family and friends, was born Oct. 21, 1931 at Spring Lake, the son of the late George S. Mosier Sr. and Louise Johnson Mosier. He attended the Wyalusing schools and in early years worked on farms in Mehoopany and Homets Ferry. On March 10, 1951 he married the former Geraldine Bennett at the Wyalusing Methodist Church parsonage. Bob later purchased the former Hagerman Farm at French Asylum which he owned and operated along with his saw mill for 28 years until his retirement. Following his retirement, Bob and Geraldine resided on Kerrick Hill for 15 years and at the Colonial Terrace in N. Towanda for four years. Bob loved the outdoors, helping his son on the farm, hunting, fishing, and was an avid bowler and member of the Wyalusing Bowling Association. He loved spending time with children, sharing stories and visiting with family and friends. He will fondly be remembered by all for his sense of humor and telling jokes.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Geraldine Mosier at home; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley G. and Barbara Mosier of North Towanda and daughter, Pauline "Paula" Wooster of Hop Bottom; grandchildren, Kerri Kissell, MD, Kimberly (Tim) Rescigno and Katrina (Jordan) Johnson; a great grandson, Alexander Wynn Johnson; godchildren, Angie Brown, Pam Phillips, Lonnie Swetter, Cyndi Pursell, Bobby Jo Finkler, and Amy Shrewsbury, siblings, Norris (Judy) Mosier of Sugar Run, Vera Mosier of Towanda, Larry (Jean) Mosier of Terrytown, Jack (Penny) Mosier of Toledo, Ohio, Anita (Robert) Swetter of Springville, Mary Anne Mosier of Wyalusing, Thelma (Vern) Harvey of Nicholson, Onalee (Jim) Robinson of Meshoppen, Alice (Phil) Rivera of Mechanicsburg; sisters-in-law, Ann Mosier of Towanda Winifred Mosier of Terrytown; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins; and special friends Steve and Dotti Brink of Kerrick Hill.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; an infant son in 1951, a son, Wynn Robert Mosier in 1964, brothers, John A. Mosier, George S. Mosier Jr., Paul E. Mosier and a nephew, John R. Mosier.
