Ron was born in Okahumpka, Fla., to the late Clarence and Mildred Pine on June 21, 1936. He graduated from Troy High School where he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Letitia Gerould. Ron started working at the Troy Gazette-Register/Bradco Printers at the young age of 17. He retired from there as the business owner after 40 years of dedicated service. Ron enjoyed bowhunting and riding motorcycle. He was always helping others with whatever they needed. He was a great, kind man — a true hero to his family and others. While Ron suffered a stroke in 1993, it didn't stop him. He continued his life as a kind, gentle man — willing to do whatever he could for anyone who asked. He was an inspiration of strength to all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Letitia Gerould Pine, of Waverly, N.Y. (formerly of Troy, PA).; his three children, Kathy (Fred) Close, Tom (Penny) Pine and Sherry (Kent) Skeens.
