Russell C. Peel, 74, of Ulster, Pa., passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at the Specialty Select Hospital in Danville, Pa.
Russell was born Jan. 16, 1936 in Trenton, N.J., the son of Ernest and Frances Peel. On March 30, 1957 he married the former Audrey A. Nelson in Trenton, N.J. Russell was employed as a truck driver for many years. Russell and Audrey moved to the Ulster area in 1986 where they operated Peel's Country Place on the Ulster-East Smithfield Road for over 15 years.
He was preceded in death by Audrey his wife of 50 years on June 9, 2008. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Beth Peel and granddaughter, Robyn Peel all of Yardley, Pa.; his sister, Barbara Peel of Levittown, Pa.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, Towanda, Pa. Memories and condolences may be expressed by visiting www.bowenfuneralhomes.com.
