Shirley A. Buck, 76, of Canton, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Shirley Ann was born on April 20, 1937 in Seneca Falls, N.Y. She was a daughter of the late Claude and Sarah (Scott) Joslyn. Shirley worked at Bradford County Manor for many years until retiring in 1993.

She cherished her family and home, especially her devoted grandchildren. Shirley was a diehard NASCAR fan; her favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt Jr. She also loved playing games on the computer. In earlier years, she enjoyed making many trips to Florida and lived in Georgia and Florida for a time.

Surviving are her four children, Sheldon "Jake" (Virginia) Sullivan of Grover, Kenneth "Bucky" (Amy) Buck and Connie (Robert) Boyd all of Canton, Lori Buchanan (Damien Mickey) of Roaring Branch; 16 grandchildren, Scott, Valerie, Ashley, Jesse, Shelly, Donny, Mindy, Cindy, Aaron, Garrett, Robert, Chris, Nick, Emma, Chelsea and Brant; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 siblings, Margaret of Florida, Edna of Jamestown, Dick of Watkins Glen, Alice of West Burlington, Velma of Montour Falls, Claude of Granville, Frank of Watkins Glen, Barb of Mountain Lake, Gary of Burlington and Judy of New York; a son-in-law Larry Heater of Lawrenceville; many nieces, nephews and cousins; a special friend Duane Buck of Canton and his children.

In addition to her husband Kenneth E. Buck she was predeceased by her children Rebecca Heater and Donald R. Sullivan; also a brother, David Joslyn.

A memorial service and celebration of Shirley's life will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton with retired minister Jasper Smith officiating.
