Jan Arthur Marrow, 65, of Liberty Corners, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa.

Jan was born Aug. 13, 1948, in Norristown, Pa., the son of the late Arthur and Mary Pizonka Marrow. Jan was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In early years he was employed as a truck driver and later went to work for Riley and Wightman in Conshohocken, Pa. Jan and his wife Emma moved to Liberty Corners, Pa., where they made their home and operated their country store for a number of years. Jan was formerly employed by Canton Manufacturing and the Taylor Packing Company in Wyalusing, Pa., until his health began to decline.

He is survived by his wife, Emma J. Wambold Marrow; children, Kenneth Marrow of Liberty Corners, Jan Michael Marrow of New Albany, Jennifer Lynn Carlin and husband Brian of Liberty Corners; grandchildren, Emily Brooks Marrow, Mayce Alonna Marrow, Janaye Louise Marrow, Janelle Marrow, Kyle Anthony Marrow, Brian Carlin Jr., Brianna Carlin; great granddaughters, Sophia Louise Marrow and Hyacynth Baumer; sisters, Marilyn Bennedetto of Norristown, Pa., Barbara Hissner and husband Curtis of Bridgeport, Pa.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with Rev. Thomas Blackall officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Corners Cemetery, Monroe Township, Pa., with Towanda American Legion Post No. 42 according full military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
