Elmer E. Fulmer, 94, of Dushore, died March 6, 2014 at The Highlands Care Center, Laporte.

Born July 12, 1919, in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, he was a son of the late Allen L. and Bessie E. Snyder Fulmer. On Nov. 13, 1944 he married the late Grace Louise Packard, who died April 7, 1991.

Elmer was a member of the Redeemer Church of Dushore and served as a custodian in the Sullivan County High School for many years until his retirement. Earlier in life he had worked as a state highway worker with many nights driving snow plows and had also worked at a saw mill. He enjoyed raising sheep and chickens on his gentleman's farm in Dushore.

Elmer is survived by a son, Richard J. (Norma) Fulmer of Fairfax, Va.

In addition to his wife and parents, Elmer was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Fulmer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, in the Redeemer Church of Dushore, 244 S. German St., Dushore, by Pastor Ron Dyer. The interment will follow in Peace Cemetery, Dushore. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. till the time of services, Tuesday, in the church.
