Arthur Llewellyn Blow, 89, of Wyalusing, Pa. passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at The Highlands in Laporte, Pa.

Arthur was born in Ulster, Pa. on August 14, 1924, to the late Percy M. and Elizabeth Rosengrant Blow. Arthur attended a one room school house until 9th grade and helped on his family's farm. He joined the Army in 1943 during World War II, where he served in Company A 6th Armored Infantry Battalion. He traveled to South Africa, Italy and Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1945.

Upon returning from war, Arthur took classes on agriculture through the GI Bill and found work at the farm of Delos Acla in Wyalusing. He soon met the late Eleanor Acla. They married in 1947 and had four children.

Arthur and Eleanor bought a daily farm on Vial Hill Road, Terry Township. He spent his life raising his family, working on the farm, milking cows and tending the fields. After Arthur and Eleanor retired, the couple built a new home and spent their free time traveling to nearly all 50 states and spent the winter months in Florida, first in West Palm Beach, then in Davenport, Fla. He enjoyed helping on the farm after retirement, spending time outdoors, playing cards, watching baseball and was very patriotic. Arthur spent the last few years of his life at the Wyalusing Personal Care Home which he enjoyed and made many friends before moving to The Highlands.

Blow, of Wyalusing; his daughter, Veronica Sollick, of Wysox; his granddaughters, Amber Blow, Jade Blow, Candy Lilley, Shannon Casselbury and Holly Poole; his grandsons, Travis Blow, Shane Blow, Jim Sollick and Matt Sollick; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
