Jack Edward Oscar Leo, 83, of Franklin Township, Pa., formerly of Levittown, Pa., passed away Thursday afternoon, March 27, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, Towanda, Pa.

Jack was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on August 29, 1930, a son of Frank Edward Leo and Leona Holmquist Leo. Jack was a self-employed painting contractor with his sons, Daniel and Robert in Levittown, Pa., for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and woodworking. Jack will be remembered by his family and friends for his many innovative ideas and creative talents.
Surviving are his wife Mary Elizabeth Lent Leo whom he married on September 18, 1949 in Peekskill, N.Y.; children Daniel A. (Betty) Leo, Robert T. (Dawn) Leo, Dawn R. (Tom) Sherwood, Mary E. (Jim) Powell, Jack O. Leo Jr., daughter-in-law Barbara Leo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Roger Leo and brother-in-law, Larry Johnson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Michael E. Leo Sr. on April 12, 2013.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
The family suggests that contributions be directed to the Franklin Township Fire Company, 15 Grange Rd., Monroeton, PA 18832 in Jack's memory.
