Marie C. Dunham, 92, formerly of Millerton, Pa. passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Bradford County Manor.

Marie Madelyn Campbell, the only child of the late Cameron Samuel and Pearl Laurissa (Tillotson) Campbell, was born at Hillside (Casper and Mab Weis's home), Canton, Pa. on Nov. 20, 1921. She attended Canton and Grover Schools and was a 1939 graduate of Canton High School. On March 28, 1941, she married Crawford Clark Holmes in Winchester, Va. They had one son, Dr. Crawford Cameron Holmes (Cynthia H. Walton) of Canton. Marie's husband was killed in a motor vehicle accident on Oct. 15, 1950. On June 9, 1951, Marie married Loren Milo Dunham Sr. in Cogan Station. Their children are Dr. Quinn Avery (Lynn Laurissa Dunham) of Mililani, Hawaii and Loren Milo Dunham Jr. (Andrea Kneiss) of Taylor, Pa. Marie and Loren Sr. were married for 50 years before he passed away on Sept. 14, 2001.

Marie worked as a U.S. Postal clerk until retiring in 1972. She was a member of Arnot Ogden Hospital's Volunteer Auxiliary and volunteered with the American Red Cross. She and her husband Loren were very instrumental in starting the Garrett Miller Senior Center in Millerton.

Family and friends were important to Marie. Friends talked about her ice skating talents on Lake Nepahwin in her younger years. She enjoyed needlework, reading, poetry and especially traveling throughout the United States. She was a talented artist, enjoying ceramics and painting scenery with oils.

Additional survivors include granddaughter, Tamara Jean Holmes married to Gary Lee Gleckner; and four great-grandchildren, Brooks Lee, Brennan Lewis, Makyah Cameron and Josiah Veil Gleckner all of Canton.

In addition to her two husbands, she was predeceased by her grandson, Timothy Crawford Holmes who died in 2009.

In keeping with Mrs. Dunham's wishes, services will be private. Burial will be in Beech Flats Cemetery. Pepper Funeral Home in Canton is in care of arrangements. Share condolences at
