N. Erma Brackman, 82, of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at home while surrounded by her family.

Born on Aug. 11, 1931 in Pottsgrove, Pa., Nida Erma Croman was one of six children of the late Ralph and Nida (DeFrain) Croman. She was a graduate of Milton High School and attended Mansfield University with studies in Home Economics. In earlier years, she worked as an OB Technician at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira.

A gentle, generous and patient woman, Erma will be remembered as a special wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many. On June 7, 1952, she married Lewis Raymond Brackman in Pottsgrove. Erma enjoyed traveling and supported missions building charity programs to help others less fortunate. Favorite times were visits shared with her children and grandchildren; Erma loved babies. She also collected lighthouses.
