Howard W. Tice Sr.

Howard W. Tice Sr., age 80, of Wilmot Township, passed away on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 25, 1929, in Gilford, N.Y., a son of the late Floyd and Gertrude (Collson) Tice.

Howard is a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War.

He has been a resident of this area since 1964.

Howard had attended the Orwell Bible Church. He drove tractor trailer most of his life. After retirement he cared for his wife for many years, and worked on his son's farm driving equipment. He enjoyed deer hunting. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He leaves surviving his son and wife, Howard W. (Melissa) Tice, Jr., of Herrickville, Pa.; a sister, Beverly Warfle, of Laceyville, Pa.; a brother, Clifford Tice, of Edmeston, N.Y.; and his three grandchildren, Destiny, Luke, and Sophia.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in the Russell P. McHenry Funeral Home, 119 Carpenter Street, Dushore, Pa.., with the Rev. Richard Vieldhouse, Pa.stor officiating.

Friends and family may call at 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service on Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the Laddsburg Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by members of the Dushore American Legion Post No. 996, and the Mildred American Legion Post No. 452.
