Jay Stevens of Marion Street, Tunkhannock, formerly of Towanda, died at his residence on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He was born in Towanda on Nov. 15, 1978, a son of Leslie N. Stevens of Wyalusing and the late Janet Elaine Baker Stevens Wech.

Jay was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1996 and was employed by Keystone Saw Shop in Meshoppen. Surviving are his fiancée, Jennifer Welch of Tunkhannock; sons, Chase Stevens of Towanda, Zacharia Stevens of Tunkhannock; daughter Emily Henning, of Mehoopany; brothers, Asa Stevens of Springville, Seth Stevens of Wyalusing; maternal grandmother, Shirley Baker of Factoryville, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday evening from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main Street, Laceyville, with Rev. Kenneth Small, Pastor of the Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church.
