Daniel E. Gamble, age 61, of Sugar Run, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital with his loving family at his side.

Dan was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on April 5, 1951, a son of Bill and Mabel Smith Gamble. He attended Wyalusing High School and graduated in the class of 1969. After school he went to Williamsport Area Community College to be an architect, until he received a draft notice, then he enlisted in the United States Navy. After the service he went to work with his father running the Wyalusing Planing Mill. Dan opened the B&D Car Wash in 1995, which he owned and operated. He also worked for Penelec for a number of years, from which he retired.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved being outside, hunting, fishing, Sudoku puzzles, and drawing.
He was a member of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church, and the Wyalusing American Legion Post No. 534.
Surviving is his daughter Stephanie MacDonald of Wyalusing, Pa.; son Sean Gamble of Wyalusing, Pa.; mother Mabel Gamble of Sugar Run, Pa.; sisters and brothers-in-law Cindy (Tony) Adams of Sugar Run, Pa., Bitsy (Bill) Boyle of Cherry Hill, N.J. and Brenda (Ed) Dawe of Sugar Run, Pa;, grandchildren Jonathan and Jocelyn MacDonald; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Bill Gamble on November 6, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
