Doris Fox Obituary
Doris was born May 14, 1934 in Sayre, Pa., a daughter of the late Pauline Raymond (Jackson) Kellogg and Daniel Burton Jackson. Doris spent her entire life caring for others who were ill, needed a home or just a helping hand. She loved the outdoors, camping, working in her flower beds and taking care of her grandchildren. She worked at Herman Rynveldt Sons Wreath Company in Athens, the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington Township, Pa., family-owned restaurants and then at Strope's Shamrock Hotel in Sayre in her later years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lester J. Fox, whom she married on June 30, 2001. He was the love of her life and made her final years the most incredible years of her life. Also surviving are her daughter Linda Lou (Shults) Harshbarger of Strope Road, Towanda; son Larry Lyle (Betty Jo) Shults of Bird City, Kansas and daughter Donna Strope Esposito of Strope Road, Towanda. Les also brought into her life four loving daughters of his own Wendy (Scott) Rifenburg of Rome, Pa., Tammy Fox of Windsor, N.Y., Roxanne Fox of York, Pa. and Robin Bruter of Smithboro, N.Y. She is also survived by several very special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; her sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Heal and Sandra Regina Patterson, both of Florida, and brothers Paul Jackson and Ray Jackson, both of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Burton Jackson of Potterville in 1998.
Abiding with Doris's request, there will be no funeral service or calling hours. She will be laid to rest in the Wysox Cemetery, Wysox, Pa. The family suggests that contributions be directed to Memorial Hospital Hospice, 91 Hospital Dr., Towanda, PA 18848 in her memory. The Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home of Towanda Pa. is assisting Doris's family with arrangements. Memories and condolences may be expressed and shared by visiting www.bowenfuneralhomes.com.

I am so thankful for all the years the Lord allowed for me to share with my beautiful sister. Doris was always there for me. She has always been there for all my children too. Especially my son Harold. God rest his soul. Harold loved his Aunt "DoDo". We all always loved visiting her and having her come to Florida too.. She always had a sense of humor. A very hard worker always doing for her family. I am thankful for the beautiful years she had to share with my brother-in-law, Les. They loved each other so much and it showed. I loved my sister so much and I will greatly miss her. But someone loved is never gone and Doris was greatly loved. She is forever in my heart.

Aunt"Do Do" was the best Great Aunt ever.. The Holler will not be the same with out her.. She always welcomed me and my friends and family. We had alot of good times. She always made me laugh.. I am sure she is up in Heaven with my Grandpa Bucky and my Uncle Harold watching over us all.. She will be greatly missed. My sympathy to Uncle Les, DonnaMae, Linda, and Larry and all the family. Doris was beautiful Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and had many good friends. You have given so much of yourself to many.. You will be greatly missed.. I want to share this poem. It was a comfort to us.
