Lynette G. Talada Lamphere, 76, of Powell, Pa., passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at her home following an extended illness.

Lynette was born in Powell on Nov. 7, 1936, a daughter of Malcolm and Gladys Bieber Talada. Her main interest in life encompassed her home and family.
Lynette enjoyed stock car racing and was an avid New York Giants fan.
Surviving are her children Michelle (Tim) Benjamin of Powell, Anna Rae Lamphere of Towanda, Penny Lamphere of Powell, Janette Lamphere of Towanda, Jeffrey (Holly) Lamphere of Mooresville, N.C. and Reginald (Debbie) Lamphere of Hampstead, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, sister Pat House of Sebring, Fla.; brothers Ray Talada of New Albany and David Talada of Montoursville, Pa.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald F. Lamphere Sr. on Nov. 26, 1991; a son Donald F. Lamphere Jr. on Sept. 14, 1973; grandsons Nicholas Glen Frederick Griffith in 1987, Robert George Griffith in 1991, Donald Jacob Griffith in 1997; sisters Kathryn Wright and Audrey Weber and brother Milford Talada.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa.
Interment will follow in the Powell Cemetery, Powell, Pa.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be directed to the Neo Natal Unit of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira, NY 14905 in Lynette's memory.
