Frank G. Kilmer, of Waverly, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at home with his family by his side.

He was born in Easton, the son of the late Frank J. and Jean Ryder Kilmer.

Frank was employed with IBM and Lockheed Martin, Owego, N.Y. After retiring from IBM, he enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard, and playing and studying the science of golf.

In addition, he was especially proud of being a published author.

Frank was a huge fan and supporter of the local teams from Little League through high school. Frank cherished spending time with his family and friends in his back yard.

Frank is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Glory of 24 years at home; children Christopher (Susan) Kilmer of Apalachin, N.Y., Douglas Kilmer of Albany, N.Y., and William Kilmer of El Paso, Texas; stepsons Jamie (Missy) VanDuzer of Sayre, Scott VanDuzer of Sayre and Todd VanDuzer of Sayre; grandchildren Emma, Colin, Taylor and Kailey Kilmer, and Brelin, Kannon, Mazlin, and Afftyn VanDuzer and Kyle Mieczkowski; and brother William (Ginny) Kilmer of Amherst, Mass.

Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 225 South Main St., Athens.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17 at the Waverly United Methodist Church, 156 Chemung St., Waverly, N.Y. with Pastor Anne Bey Canfield officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Frank's memory to: Waverly United Methodist Church, 156 Chemung Street, Waverly, NY 14892 or Lourdes Hospice, 169 Riverside Drive, Johnson City, NY 13905.
