Elizabeth Zulick Reuter, 89, of Lake Wesauking, died peacefully with her children at her bedside, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Memorial Hospital, Towanda.

Born in Pottsville on June 24, 1923, Elizabeth was the daughter of Arthur Lucian Zulick and Margaret Susan Starr Zulick. She was a graduate of Orwigsburg High School class of 1941 and continued her education at Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va.where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1945. Following completion of college, Elizabeth was employed initially by the Curtis Publishing Company and later by the International Resistance Company for over two years both in Philadelphia. In October of 1948 she married Donald Reuter in Orwigsburg. The couple subsequently moved to Towanda where they resided for many years until their retirement when they moved to Lake Wesauking to make their home. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed and nurtured all of these relationships with kindness and sincerity. In the community Elizabeth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Towanda and an active supporter of the Towanda Public Library and the Bradford County Regional Arts Association. She loved music and enjoyed singing with her church choir as well as participating in school musical programs as a piano accompanist. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and socializing with family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Donald G. Reuter and wife Nancy of Wyomissing, Margaret Huber and husband Larry of Towanda, Mark C. Reuter and wife Kathleen of Montrose, N.Y. and J. Patterson Reuter and wife Lexa of McLean, Va.; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Isabel Rhoads of Orwigsburg and Margaret Morey of Painted Post, N.Y.; brother, John Zulick of Monroe Township, N.J.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald on Feb. 24, 2011 and son, John Z. Reuter in October of 1957.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, Towanda, with Rev. Rachel Stahle, pastor, officiating. Interment will be private in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the church.
