Jack H. Reynolds, 91, of Montrose, Pa., passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Gracious Living Estates, Montrose, Pa.

He was born in Birchardville, Pa., to the late Lee and Clarissa (Park) Reynolds. His wife of 57 years, Elizabeth M. "Betsy" (Smith) Reynolds, survives.

Also surviving are his two sons and daughter-in-law Randy Reynolds, Montrose, Pa., Joseph and Linda Reynolds, Montrose, Pa.; two grandchildren Caleb and Alison Reynolds; sister Connie Lou Gary, Montrose, Pa.; nephews Darwin and Joel Gary; niece Rita Schweizer; cousins John Reynolds, David Gardner, many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sisters Nina and Mary Etta Reynolds; brother Dick Reynolds; and niece Jane Murphy.

Jack was a professional Heavy Weight Boxer with 59 wins he received going from coast to coast. He spent nearly two years in Brazil working for an oil company until he was drafted. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, serving in the North African and Sicily campaigns. After the war, he moved home to work the family farm with his parents, farming until the late 70s. He also worked at Reynolds Refrigeration Sales and Service; he was one of the first to sell farmers in Susquehanna County bulk tanks through the Girton Company. He was a member of the American Legion Post 534, Wyalusing, the Holy Name of Mary Church, and was past president of the Wyalusing Fire Company, as well as a member of the BPOE No. 2191. Jack enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends and neighbors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Holy Name of Mary Church, Montrose, Pa., with Rev. Gerard F. Safko, officiating.

Interment will be in the Wyalusing Cemetery. Visitations will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, Pa.
