Patricia L. Putnam McKernan, 68, of North Towanda, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 after a long illness. Patricia was born September 28, 1944 in Sayre, the daughter of the late Francis Putnam and Beatrice Tillotson Putnam Brown.

Patricia worked at Osram Sylvania for 37 years and the Dandy Mini Mart for 5 years. Patricia enjoyed reading, knitting, camping and excursions to Lancaster with her family. She loved spending time with her family.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph McKernan; children, Todd McKernan of Towanda, Theresa and Jeff Beaumont of Towanda, Eddie and Debbie McKernan of Towanda, Lisa and Ed Bride of Towanda, Dan and Sherry Jackson of Rome, and Patrick McKernan of Towanda; grandchildren, J.T. and Becky McKernan, Zoe and John Woodruff, Mia McKernan, Sheena Bride, Courtney and Casey Abbott, Zach and Gabby Slater, Alyssa Jackson, and Caleb, Karlie, and Shelby McKernan; great-grandchildren, Lilli and Lylah Bride, Colten, Alexis, and Aria Woodruff, and Jayden McKernan; siblings Marlene and James Lamphere of Monroeton, Milo and Barbara Putnam of Wyalusing, Dale and Kathy Putnam of Wyalusing, Carol and William Carr of New Albany, Dawn and Kevin Liddick of LeRaysville, Darlene and Terry Vaow of Towanda, Frances and John Flanagan of Towanda, Paul and Sue Brown of Laceyville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Beverly Putnam and Diane Putnam McManus; brothers, Michael and Walter Putnam; grandchildren, Cyle Wood, Jennifer, Marcus, and Ridge McKernan; daughter-in-law, Deborah McKernan; and nephew James 'Jimmy' Lamphere.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Joseph McKernan, 1053 Laurel Hill Road, Towanda. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the , 1704 Warren Ave. Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the , Bradford Unit, 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 in Patricia's memory.
