Harry Volpe Obituary
He was born on Jan. 2, 1914, to Francesco and Francesca Volpe in Bari, Italy.
Harry married Anne Kaminski of Jewett City, on April 10, 1937. They were married for 67 years, until her death in 2004.
He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Harry was a parishioner at St. Paul's Church in Lighthouse Point.
Harry's career with Picazio Concessions and Caterers spanned over 25 years at a number of popular Connecticut shoreline destinations, including The Gam at Ocean Beach Park in New London and Rocky Neck State Park in Niantic. He was the general manager of the concessions at Sherwood Island State Park, Westport, during the 70s, after which he moved to Florida and retired.
Harry is survived by his daughter, Carol Volpe Caulfield of Waterford; his grandsons, Robert Jr., Richard, and Kevin Caulfield of Waterford; great-grandson, Bryan Neilan of Waterford; great-granddaughter, Emma Caulfield of East Lyme. Harry will be sadly missed by his devoted companion, Mildred Abbott, her dear family, David and Eileen Price of Lighthouse Point, and Scott Caulfield of Daytona Beach, who was a great help and comfort to him.
In addition to his wife, Anne, Harry was predeceased by his son-in-law, Robert Caulfield (2005); sister, Jenny Cannizzaro of New Jersey; and brothers, Patsy Volpe of Groton and Nicholas Volpe of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 5420 NW 33rd Ave., Suite 100, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, whose compassionate care was of great comfort to Harry and his family.

Dear Carol and family, so sorry to hear of uncle Harry's passing. We kept in touch by Christmas cards I always looked forward to hearing from him. Please let us know when there will be a memorial service. Love & prayers... Leah & Emma.
