I am the "Stroke Survivor" that Pam & Ed met at Starbuck's! It's been at least 2 1/2 years since I've known them. When Ed was allowed to go the bathroom by himself, Pam came over to me. She introduced herself to me and said that I sympathize with you & what you're going through. Pam started to cry - you see Edward has dementia and I'd like to go to Italy, France, and Spain with him. After that - I looked for Pam & Ed together and I became friends with them! Something Edward said was: "no running" that had to do with me! As I was driving from Starbuck's, I realized that what Ed meant was I HAD A CANE - and I went hysterically laughing!!!
To Pam, Wendy, Dan my thoughts are with you!

To the family of Ed he is a true gentleman. I remember that he always had a huge smile when we were coming into Groton. One of the most influential shipmates that I met in my time in the submarine fleet. No words can express my heartfelt sympathies to your family.

I was among the lucky ones that got to work with Ed at Millstone. He was always a leader and mentor. I don't think any new officer coming to Millstone wasn't grateful to have Ed near by. He made sure you felt confident to do your job. He always had a smile and a positive word. I am sure Ed is in a much better place now. My heart goes out to this family. God Bless you Ed, 'till we all meet again some day.
