Michael Feindt Obituary
He was born in New York, N.Y., on June 23, 1959, the son of Geraldine (Bucsek) Feindt of Groton and the late Andrew Feindt. Michael was a 1977 graduate of Robert E. Fitch Sr. High School and was a member of the state championship football team of 1976. He loved to fish and had a great sense of humor.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Julie Cagle of Norwich and Elaine Hess of Uncasville, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct 4, at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St. There are no visiting hours.

Julie and Elaine, I was looking to reconnect on facebook as I have with many this past year only to sadly discover the loss of Mike and Aunt Jerri. I am saddened by it and also by the distance years can often create. You have often been in my thoughts with fond memories of when we were kids...epsecially the shows we captured on super 8 film we did when we visited you guys. To Michael's family - my deepest and sincerest sympathies to you all. I too feel deeply saddened and completely shocked at the reading of his passing. I think all of the class of '77 will always have a special bond and losing Mike will leave us all with a heavy heart. I will always remember his great smile and big hugs.

To Mike's family,
I too remember those days at Fitch and being on that incredible team. Mike was always a friend and even after we were all out of high school we'd run into one another somewhere and have a laugh over a beer or two. it was good to see him at the reunion. I have fond memories of Mike during our time at Fitch. During football season, I remember seeing him walking in the hallways with such confidence and always with a smile. He helped make that part of our senior year perfect. May you find strength and peace, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
