Charlotte W. Pritchett

Morrison, Colo. - Charlotte W. (Rice) Pritchett, 86, of Morrison, Colo., formerly of Ledyard, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.

She was the wife of the late John H. Pritchett. Charlotte was born in New Haven to Russell and Sadie (Delorie) Rice.

Charlotte was a graduate of the Hartford School of Nursing. After graduating, she entered the U.S. Air Force where she served during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal. After leaving the service, she continued to work in nursing until retiring at 67.

Charlotte is survived by her brother, Mancel Rice of New London; and her children, Pamela (Pritchett) Drawve of Springfield, Ill., Debra (Pritchett) Kupfer of Morrison, Colo., and Nancy (Pritchett) Fortner of Ledyard; her eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Spencer Rice of Norwich and Russell Rice of Bozrah; and sister, Margot Dugas of Bozrah.

Private services will be held at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Colorado.
