Jeffrey Meade Clark

Montville - Jeffrey Meade Clark, 70, of Uncasville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after an extended illness on May 2, 2013.

Jeff was born in Stratford, on March 29, 1943, the son of James D. and Beryl Clark. He was the eldest of five. His siblings were Lynda Larson, Bruce Clark, Christopher Clark (predeceased), and Melissa Whitman. Jeff graduated from Frank Scott Bunnell High School in 1962, and then entered the U.S. Air Force, serving almost four years as an airplane mechanic. He greatly enjoyed many hobbies and activities, including West Coast Swing Dancing, gardening, history, classic truck restoration, exploring his Scandinavian heritage, and sharing that love with his family, particularly at holidays with Scandinavian foods. Jeff's primary passion later in life was collecting and sharing blues music. He was also very proud of his 39 years of sobriety.

Jeff worked as a journeyman electrician for his entire working career.

He was married to Diane S. Clark for 16 years and has two children, Jodi Diane Clark and Kenneth James Clark. Jeff is survived by Jodi Clark and her wife, Jenny Karstad, of Marlboro, Vt., and Kenneth Clark and his wife, Rasa, of East Lyme; and his special friend, Patricia Gainsley of Mystic. He is also survived by his siblings, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the home of Sharon Clark, 101 Cheshire St., Stratford. For more information about the celebration, please contact Jodi Clark at or (802) 257-7705.
