He was also an active member at Snake Meadow Rod & Gun Club, in Moosup, holding several titles over his long tenure. He loved to fish, the ocean or fresh water, and pheasant and deer were not safe when he was on the hunt!

Walt had a tremendous love of baseball, and coached many boys at the Little League and Babe Ruth levels. He was a die hard Yankees, Nascar, and UConn Basketball fan, he had an opinion on them all!
