Michael Freeman Obituary

East Lyme - Michael Bennet Freeman, 70, of East Lyme, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.

He was born in New York, N.Y., on May 11, 1945, the son of Lou and Eleanor (Moss) Freeman. He had worked as a waiter for various restaurants in the area.

He is survived by a son, Samuel Freeman of Groton; two sisters, Barbara Segal and her husband, Joe, of East Lyme, with whom he made his home and Ann Rheinhold and her husband, Jack, of Marietta, Ga.; and nieces and nephews, Byran and Scott Rheinhold and Rebecca and Jen Segal.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. Interment will be at a later date and will be private.
