Helen Dugas Obituary
She was born in New London, on March 31, 1931, the daughter of William and Julia (Wieczorek) Jesuck.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Dugas, in 1995, after 43 years of marriage.
She enjoyed doing plastic and canvas crafts and participated in many craft fairs, both in Connecticut and Florida. She also had a love of gardening.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Fonda (Frank) and Ann McGurrin; sisters, Irene Holland and Donna Perkins; grandsons, Dennis Fonda, Steven Fonda (Deanna), Michael Fonda; granddaughter, Julie Ann McGurrin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Saunders.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, with committal to follow in Jordan Cemetery, Waterford. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main St., Bridgeport, CT 06606.
