Adrian Petherick Obituary
He was born in England, on Nov. 23, 1962, the son of the late Robert and Mary Petherick of the UK. Adrian was a day-one employee of Foxwoods Casino, where he started as a dual rate dealer. Throughout his Foxwoods career, he was awarded several promotions, working as assistant casino day shift manager at the time of his death. Adrian was known to be a kind, fair supervisor, never playing favorites.
Adrian enjoyed the outdoors, the beach, shooting pool, and playing golf. He also loved music and sports. Adrian loved vacationing, recently returning from a trip to Orlando with his family.
Adrian loved all of his children and treated his step-children as his own. Most describe Adrian as a true gentleman. His gentle spirit, generous soul, and soft spoken mannerism will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know him. He was very much loved and will be missed beyond words by his family and friends.
Adrian leaves behind his three sons, Sean Petherick of Hartsworth, England, Alex R. and Andrew R. Petherick, both of Pawcatuck; step-children, Ashley, Craig, and Jeremy Hauser, all of Norwich; his grandson, Kyle Petherick; and his sisters, Julia Petherick and Sarah Petherick, all of the UK.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Our Lady of Lords Church in Gales Ferry.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family at a benefit in his honor at Brookside Café from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 30.

It is with great sadness that I learn of Adrian's passing. We were best friends during our days at Campion School in Hornchurch. I called him Stan.
I have fond memories of rugby and the Pink Flamingo in Rayleigh.
One of those moment when we really should have stayed in touch but life had other plans. It was for others to enjoy the genuine kindness of a gentle soul. Sleep well Stan!

I worked on day shift with Adrian for about six years and i have to say he was great guy to work with and to work for. also had a smile on his even when he was having a bad day... i will miss him.. :(

Adrian was one of my best friends at Foxwoods i worked with him for several years on grave shift. we also spent many hours playing pool and joking around. i also spent 3 years working on the casino boats up in Mass with Adrian.He was one of the most sincere,down to earth people i ever knew. He had a great persona that let him do justice to the tasks at hand and still was able to find the time for a quick chuckle.
