C. Fox Obituary

Waterford - C. James Fox, 91, of Oswegatchie Road, Waterford, died on Dec. 3, 2013.
He was born to Guy and Clara Fox on July 11, 1922, in Zillah, Wash.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Coombs Fox; a daughter, Ann Claire Pawlina and her husband, Charles Pawlina, of North Canton; and a sister, Kathryn Mathews of Arlington, Wash.
He was predeceased by a brother, the Rev. Charles Fox; a sister, Pauline Peterson; and his daughter, Trish Taylor Fox.
Jim served in the combat engineers with the 9th Army during World War II. He obtained a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1948. He began his working career at Minneapolis-Honeywell as a technical writer and ended it as editor of European Science Notes, a monthly journal published by the Office of Naval Research in London. After retiring, Jim became a part-time sculpture student at Lyme Academy. His sculptures have been shown in many area shows and are in private collections.
There are no calling hours. Services are private.
Donations in his name may be made to the Waterford Public Library.
