Carol Losacano Obituary
Carol was born on March 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Ward and Barbara Alling of Waterford, and graduated from Waterford High School in 1962.
Carol and Paul were united in marriage on June 1, 1963, at the First Baptist Church in New London.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 49 years and three daughters, Brenda Ann and husband, Allen Choate, and their daughter, Megan E., and son, Paul W. Shaw of East Lyme; Lisa Ann Swanson and her two daughters, Sydney P., and Addie E., and son, Hayden A. Swanson of Niantic; Paula A. Brown and her daughter, Kayla M., and son, Ryan P. Archer of Groton. Carol will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Carol also leaves behind two brothers, Ernest L. Alling of Fitchville and James T. Alling and wife, Mary, of North Haven.
Carol's greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, spoiling her grandchildren, and supporting their sporting events. Carol loved the New York Yankees and spent a great deal of time helping her husband, Paul, coach the East Lyme Little League softball teams.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at the funeral home. Interment will be at East Lyme Cemetery, Boston Post Road, immediately followed by a reception at Great Neck Country Club, 28 Lamphere Road, Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory may be made to The Community Cancer Center at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, 365 Montauk Ave., New London, CT 06320.

Carol was an amazing, fun, kind, and loving lady. She was my Dads sister and the whole family Loved Carol so much. I always looked forward to seeing her, Paul and the kids when they came to our house when I was younger. Carol will always be missed.
