Constance Marie "Connie" Durfee

Groton - Constance Marie Durfee, 27, of Groton, lost her battle with cystic fibrosis at Yale New-Haven Hospital, Wed. Jan. 30, 2013.

Connie was born to George Sr. and Lucinda (Burdick) Durfee on Jan. 29, 1986, in Groton. Connie attended both Groton and Stonington Public Schools, continuing on to graduate from Fitch Senior High School in 2005. She was currently taking online classes for accounting.

She is survived by her grandmother, Jay Burdick of Groton; uncle, Beriah Burdick of Niantic; and an aunt, Robin Burdick of Georgia. She is also survived by her four brothers, Beriah Durfee and his wife, Leah, of Groton, George Durfee Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Alabama, Thomas Durfee and his wife, Julie, of Wyoming, and Martin Durfee of Arizona. She is also survived by her sister, Laura Good and her husband, Stephen, of Oklahoma. Connie leaves behind nine nephews and two nieces; plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Connie was predeceased by her parents; and older sister, Alisha Durfee.

A service to "Celebrate Her Life" will be held at 6 p.m Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1230 Flanders Road, Mystic.
