Cynthia Perkins Obituary
She was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Manhhattan, N.Y., the daughter of Gladys (Buzenski) Longo of Quaker Hill and the late Joseph A. Longo. Moving to New London at an early age, she attended local schools.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Perkins Sr., on Aug. 23, 1959, in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church; Mr. Perkins survives her.
Cynthia and Ray traveled extensively throughout the United States in their motor home. She enjoyed her four exotic parrots.
Besides her husband of 54 years, she is survived by five children, Raymond Perkins Jr., Alan Perkins, Lisa Perkins, Richard and Joseph Perkins; four siblings, JoAnn Harlacher, Joseph Longo, Christine Longo, and Anthony Longo; an uncle, John Buzenski; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Duane Perkins; and a sister, Rosemary Holland.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in St. Patrick Cemetery, Uncasville.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to DiVita Dialysis of Norwich, 113 Salem Turnpike Road, Norwich, CT 06360 or Kidney Foundation of Connecticut, 920 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT 06107.
The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montuak Ave., New London, has been entrusted with arrangements.

I am so sorry to learn the death of Cynthia. Although I haven't seen her in some years, I have fond memories of playing Bonco with her years ago. I will never forget the beautiful 1st Birthday cake she made for my daughter.
