Old Saybrook - David Clark, 73, of Old Saybrook, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2012, with his family by his side.
Dave was born and raised in Branford, son of the late John and Mildred (Fallon) Clark.
It was in Branford that he met his wife, Gail (Lehr), to whom he was married for 51 years. Dave and Gail had made their home in Old Saybrook for 42 years. Dave began working for Northeast Utilities, Millstone Station in 1965 as a nuclear control room operator. He retired from Millstone in 1998 as a shift manager.
Dave enjoyed boating, fishing, and relaxing in the RV during the winters in Florida. Most of all, he delighted in his children and grandchildren. He was a fixture at every baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and football game.
Besides his wife, Dave is survived by his sons, Kevin and his wife, Hilary, of Deep River, Sean and his wife, Bethany, of Old Lyme, and David and his wife, Lista, of Franklin, Tenn.; and his brothers, Richard and his wife, Barbara, of Essex, and John and his wife, Leona, of Liberty, Maine. He leaves nine grandchildren, Benjamin, Ethan, Matthew, Lucas, Sam, Charlie, Dustin, Alden, and Roland; and two great-grandchildren, Marley and Cameron.
A Mass to celebrate Dave's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 13, at Our Lady of Sorrows, 14 Prospect St., Essex.
