Dorothy McDonald Obituary

Southern Pines, N.C. - Dorothy Louise (Mays) McDonald, 87, of Southern Pines, N.C., passed away on March 30, 2013, at St. Joseph of the Pines.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1926, in Covington, Va., to the late Harry Alexander Mays and Nora Gertrude (Keyser) Mays.

Mrs. McDonald was predeceased by her loving husband, John Robert McDonald Sr. in 2003, and three brothers, William Ryland Mays of Smith Mountain, Va., Harry A. Mays Jr., and James T. Mays.

She is survived by a son, John "Skip" McDonald of Roswell, Ga.; a daughter, Sally Anne Whitney of Groton; brother, Raymond Berkley Mays of Covington, Va.; also four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
